I just received a call on both my home phone, and cell phone from the 1(864)502-1011. Both times it shows up on the caller id as 'unknown name' and 'unknown' on the cell.
There was no vm left, and when I *67 to call them back, I got an error message saying this number is NOT in service, please check the number and try again.
Problem is I have worked w/ 2 different phone companies over the years, and the message they have is a fake. Most likely set up by them to avoid incoming calls.
My advise would be to report this number to your local phone company, and avoid answering when they try back.
If they were legitimate they would not only have a company name listing who they are on the caller ID, but they would also leave vm's among other credentials to be checked out.
I've been getting calls from CRA for weeks, but have always missed the call. Last time I got a call on my home phone asking me to hold and a call on my cell phone--which I missed--at the same time, same number. Called them back only to hear their answering service say it was CRA. Just got a call from Alexis Griffin from CRA, wouldn't give me any information--like she is calling from a debt collection agency--until I verified my name and information. I told her if she didn't tell me what CRA was, that I was hanging up--which I did!
Do not respond to this company. If you give them information, they will hound you.
Received message that I needed to call them back or my attorney. It was a matter that I didn't know about. I just erased it because this is not the first time that they called. When I asked what their physical address was, they couldn't tell me. How do these people get our number????
I called and supposedly got some "Supervisor" and told him there was no one named Karen here....and that I am a cancer patient and they were calling my cell phone!!! I told him to stop calling me because I am in a lot of pain and sick most of the time.....and was pretty PO.ed at them for bothering me!!! She had the same last name as me...and he said my number was her contact number 2 years ago...BS...I have had this phone since 2005. They just called me because they were hoping since i had the same last name that I knew her...he even told me that!!!
i got the exact same message...to call them back or have the person who is going to represent me. i have not had any 'old' debt since 2001! not going to call back!
