Has called my elderly father's number repeatedly threatening to show up and take someone away. He has dementia and the calls are very upsetting to him, but have happened when no one else is there. This number is in his phone, and I tried to call it, but it seems someone just picks up and hangs up. Sick people!!!
Called and threatened me, said I owed $8500 or they would my accounts and tell my employer. They all sounded like they were from India, hard to understand them. When I asked several times if it was really IRS they lied and say yes, and gave fake "case manager" ID badge numbers even. I said I'd call back in 10 minutes and the "IRS case manager" started screaming I'd be sorry. Complete scam!
Thankful for Verizon! We were able to block the number after they called my dad 3 times. (See entry from yesterday). I'm glad others have reported on this number though. These people are sick! My dad is so shaken up still, thinks people are coming to his house. Very worried, and won't do his normal activities because he was so upset! Wish these people could see the effects of what they do.
