Received call from Mrs Burman (caller ID said 864-469-0915) told me to give msg to husband for him to call her, she could not discuss with me (yesterday missed call from 864-845-2084 - no msg left), but with his permission she could discuss the "whole thing" with me. We have never had anything in collections, so not sure what this is all about.
just got a call from these clowns and they call you then put you on hold so the lady gets on the phone says can I help you, and I said you called me, she said no I didnt , well lady i have a caller id here that says you did, so then i give her my name and says i owe them money from an account borrowed back in 01 and tells me if i look at my credit report its on there, and i just happened to have ran my report this morning on free credit report and it wasnt on there, so she said if you dont pay it will be soon, and i said then you go right ahead and do that because #1 i have no idea what your talking about and you wont give me more information, and #2 that [***] is almost 10 years old, so go right ahead and then she hung up. what a joke, i wonder how many people fall for this crap.
Calls me at random times and never leaves a message. I don't pick it up because I don't know them, and I've gotten calls from other numbers I don't know who are just messing around.
Just recieved a call from number above trying to collect on a vechile that is paid off. I reported them to the proper officials. Be causious something is fishy. Do not deal with these unreptable people.
just got a call from them less than an hour ago. a woman said her name was Mrs. Merril , and i need to CALL HER IMMEDIATELY. so i looked it up, and found a whole list of people talking about the same thing. i guess she can keep calling, but i only respond to written requests from legitimate companies. Mrs. Merril can just IMMEDIATELY disregard. ha
I received a call from this number. A rude woman asked for my husband so I asked who was calling. She said CRA and refused any further details. She asked for my husband again so I said, "If you want to talk to --- then you're going to have to tell me what CRA is." She said, "If that's your attitude then we'll see you in court. Good luck!" and hung up. I called back and reached a man. He was just as rude and refused to give me any details. I read the messages on this forum and realize that it was a scam. My husband and I do not have any credit cards and other than utilities and a cell phone, we don't have any accounts. Please beware, do not let them bully you and hang up or report them if you have the chance!
