Called and said something about he had not had a return call yet from me or my attroney and needs me to call back ASAP ! This is a scam . I have scam ID app and told me this is a scam
Total scam. Received the same message. Don't owe any debt collectors. Never received paperwork from these people. The sad thing is there are people who are vulnerable and will give them what they want. Supposedly they collect on payday loans. They should check state laws as most payday loans are illegal in a lot of states. Don't let them intimidate you. Block the number.
Just received another call with the same message only this time the caller ID Number was 872-395-5355 -- I have not received any paperwork if the mail -- guessing this is a scam.
This is not real. This is a scam. I got calls from a similar number today. I too was told I had not responded to paperwork which I never got. I went to my bank with the alleged information I could get from the caller and also went to speak with the police department where I live. Definitely a scam.
You won't receive any papers. They are a scam debt collectors. They are after money. They try to scare you into paying them. I was told by a lawyer, even if you do owe a debt, credit cards, payday loan, you cant go to jail for it. They can try to sue you, but if they do you go to court, and you come to an agreement on how much you can pay. Trust me I have been scared to death with the phone calls telling me they are coming to my job, or home to serve me papers. That have been 3 years ago, haven't gotten any papers yet. Tell them to serve you the papers, and take you to court, and if they don't stop calling you, you will get a lawyer to take the company they work for for harassment.
