Interesting enough, on the local town's Facebook page, they posted about scam firefighter calls, and that the local fire department only solicits by mail & fundraisers. Knew immediately it was a scam
I called back on a different line and a man named "Mark Morris' answered. I asked why he was calling me and he said it was to get funds for firemen and their families. I tried to tell him to stop but he kept on talking so I hung up and blocked the call on my cell phone.
Called back from a landline and didn't hear a ring but a "blip" and someone say "Hi this is Mark, thanks for calling back today. I didn't answer and after a few seconds he said "Are you there". I hung up. Something made me call back. I heard the exact same thing. It's a recording. When I didn't answer the second time they hung up.
