I got the same # calling me this morning...and the message was only 7 seconds.  It's a scam! The 901-425-1481 is associated to this as well!  I've never done anything in Texas and I don't even live there or been there so NOT sure why there's anything out.  Beside I've filed Chapter 7 and the only thing I have on my credit are my current paid on time bills!  What a bunch of loser with nothing better to do with their lives!  Sad!

If this is true because you have to watch everybody now.
OCTOBER 2014 (UPDATED: April 2015)

WE HAVE FOUND THEM: After doing some research, we have found the folks that are running this scam and using our name. The scammers are operating out of Madison Village, Ohio. CLICK HERE for their information obtained from the Ohio Secretary of State's website. According to the website the man in charge is Edward J. Alexander, Jr. If you would like to contact him personally, here are some links:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/edjalexander?fref=ts

People Search: http://radaris.com/~Edward-Alexander/191669123

(you can get his phone number at this site and give him a personal call)

As an alternative, you can also report these scammers to the following authorities:

Madison Village, Ohio Police Department: (440) 428-3421 ext. 103 (website link)

Ohio Attorney General: (800) 282-0515 (website link)

Cleveland Better Business Bureau (800) 233-0361 (website link)

If you have been contacted by phone recently by a company calling itself Litigation Support Services, rest assured, it is not us. A scam collections firm using illegal tactics has recently begun calling people an trying to strong arm them into paying them money. The tactics they use are illegal and no one should send them a dime. The caller id information shows the calls coming from Mentor, OH (near Cleveland) and the phone number as 440-249-6862 or 440-210-9670. In the past they have also called from 804-767-4880. We suggest that you call your state's attorney general and report them and also report the dialing number on 800notes.com

UPDATE: We have just been informed that this scam collections firm is now representing themselves as us, using a new phone number 513-392-0880 and directing people to our website to show that they are legitimate. If you have any dealings with this firm, please document it in all ways possible (paper, recording, etc) and send this documentation to us so we can start building a legal case against them.

I recognize that phrase on the call. This one has a lot of threads here on 800. The govern yourself accordingly is a dead giveaway to these extortion scammers.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
