I received a call from this number. I called it back because the automated voice saying this was about a pre-trial intervention and it hung up on me before I could press 1 to talk to someone. The lady that answered the phone didn't even ask me for my name but pulled up my info and wanted me to verify my SSN - which I refused. I then asked her which court this was going to be filed in so I could contact my lawyer - she would not give me that info and she hung up on me. I called it back and someone answered and hung up on me again. I called it back from a different phone number and asked to speak to a manager and they refused to let me speak to a manager or anyone in charge. Then the lady procedued to tell me that I was on some kind of medication and hung up on me.
the same thing happened To me this morning. They called and said if insist call back today I would forego my rights. So i called back and they were looking for my daughter. A woman answered and told me if I live my daughter I will have her call them at once. I was scared to death. My daughter called and they hung up on her when she questioned them.
They called my aunt cursing. So I called them back all day . I wonder how they feel now. I believe its husband and wife I told them the fbi was coming the man called me a [***] lol
Yes, I got a call from I suppose Walter Harrington office and they left voicemail.The voicemail said they were going to arrest me so I freaked out . so I called them back and a lady answered it and she said th I need to pay $2000 for a payday loan and check out in 2012. She would not give me any details about who the loan was from. She then said that she was going to send out a request to the DA's office to set up a warrant for my arrest at 11 a.m. then hung up on me.I called her back. She pretended not to hear m and I kept telling her I'm here and here I just need to know who the loan place is.She' yelled a warrant is going to be issued for your arrest and I'm sending it out right now at 11, good bye!!Anyway after reading these posts I am now thankfu that I didn't fall for it. They are very threatening! I have been very worried the last few day. I can't believe they can get away with this.
receive a phone call from Walter Harrington today. My 70 year old mother is told she is going to be arrested today. I call and they tell me to go to the bondsman and have her bailed out. Are you kidding me? They refused to give me any information about the"case"they have. I called back again, they cursed at me and threatened me. When I asked where their office is they refused to give me an address. maybe that was best for them, scamming a 70 year old woman for check fraud???? Wtf is wrong with people.
"Walter Harrington" called and left a voice mail stating he was from Pretrial Interventions. He said I needed to call back or have my attorney call. I've spoken to a local attorney who assured me this is a scam. They are unable to track these callers (spoofed phone numbers) which makes prosecution impossible. They will threaten you, call you names and harass you into submission. The attorney advised me to say F*@k you and hang up. Often times the person on the phone will answer and pretend to forward you to someone else who is threatening and abusive. Please do not fall for these scams. I'm assuming they are able to scare enough people into paying that it keeps them in business.
