The idiots called me today and said they "had a case" with my name on it. He gave me my social and month and day of my birth then "To verify who I was" he wanted to year I was born. I told him "You need to verify who I am but you just rattled off to me my Social Security Number? Don't you think you should verify the person BEFORE saying the SS #?" He got mad and said "He would sign off and send it to the District Judge" pfft OK, Whatever!
I just got the same message and when I called back I was on hold for over a minute so I hung up. I know I don't owe anybody money, nor have a broken the law so I am sure this is another scam.
Received two calls on my cell which both calls went to voice mail. 1st caller, female did not identify herself or company, she said a complaint had been filed against me and I needed to call back, reference the case# to rectify this matter prior to further action. 2nd caller next day, basically same message just angrier. He did add that this was the only notice I would receive before further action would be taken. same phone number, same reference #. I did not return either call as there would be no way any complaint had been filed against me.
I have received calls from this number for three days, [more than once a day] with messages threatening to go to my employer, HR etc. They leave a case number but I don't return their call because they are leaving a message for a different name [not mine]. extremely annoying.
I've had a similar experiences with this number that the other comments here have had; had the same two "complaint" calls the past two days and a third today, trying to verify my residence and place of employment. I didn't answer any of them or return any of them. They're not even calling for ME, but for my mother. Pretty much just feels like a scam to get personal details...
