Got a call saying they had a returned "parcel" due to a bad address and that a legal matter was attached to my social. Didn't intentify company until I asked. Said something credit solutions.
Got someone named Melissa who didn't identify the company she was with until I asked. Something legal something or other. Said way too fast even after asking her to repeat. Called her a scammer and hung up.

Very similar to the other posts. I can see why people may fall for these type of calls. I first received the call, indicating I have a parcel that was not delivered due to a mistake on the address. The machine indicates to press 1 to verify address. After I pressed one - "Max" got on the phone, soon I figured it was a solicitor and asked him to remove me from his calling list and hung up. A few minuted later, "Max" calls back and says "you need to pay your bills, byyeeeeee" and hung up. At that point, I was surprised, and thought perhaps it could be something that really required my attention, so I called the number back. After several attempts no one answered, and it kept on going to voicemail. Eventually a different guy answered, and started by telling me that there was an attempt to served me (at an address where I lived 6 years). He said they had a collections account, and because I Failed to pay, I now had to face a judge, and possible wage garnishment. He said I owe $460, but that we could avoid further actions if I paid right now. This immediately raised a red flag .... I asked what the name of the company was and he just kept on saying Florida, Jacksonville. Eventually he said legaldebt.com. I ended up getting off the phone, did a bit of research and indeed, this appears as a scam
