Normally don't pick up unidentified calls, but was expecting someone to call me back and wasn't sure of their number. This was a recorded message that sounded like a real person saying "we are giving away 20 free GE security systems in your area..." I did not at first realize it was a recording and tried to interrupt and say "that's alright, I'm not interested..." Voice continued right over me and so I hung up. I too wondered as another respondent had mentioned, if sooner or later the recording would get to the point where they had you say "yes" to record that answer for future extortion attempts. Better not to answer!
These people continues to call my phone I have block there number. I just don't answer. It's so disturbing. Can something be done with these scammers. She always say this is Allison abut your warranty. Can you hear me. I hand up.
I got a call like that yesterday. It was a man's voice who said "Can you hear me?" I kept saying "hello" and no response so I finally hung up. I have been curious about that call until I received one from Jacksonville tonight and did not answer it because I get so many scam calls from there. Obviously it was the same one that called yesterday. I don't recall if I answered yes or just kept saying hello. Hopefully I just kept saying hello !
