this sounds like a call from an illegal auto rotater dialer. thse things can call every number in the US in a single day. I have to wonder if this is the latest number being used by one RAN DAVID BARNEA whose telemarketing activities out of Florida are the subject of some very interesting internet blogs. I suggest that everyone do a Google search on this name---you will have some interesting stuff come up on your screen. You will quickly learn how powerless and irrelevant the Federal Trade Commission and the Florida attorney general's office are when it comes to dealing with lowlife money grubbers such as the ones on this number.
Received a call from 904-548-0657 with recorded message saying they had tried to reach us several times and this was our last chance to lower our interest rates on our credit cards. They wanted us to press 1 to speak with someone about lowering the interest rate, or press 2 to allow our interest rate to rise. When I was connected with a person, they asked if I was interested in the low-interest rate card. I informed them that this number was on the No-Call List. The woman told me to press 2 to remove my name from their list. I responded I shouldn't be on their list in the first place and asked for the name of the company so I could file a complaint with the government. At this point, she hung up.
This number also called my house. I'm on the do not call list as well. I use Comcast as my telephone provider so with the number the name on the caller ID shows up as "Charles Wilder". I didn't answer but called it back and also got the VERY fake "this number is disconnected" recording.
