Caller ID shows Utilities, Connecting or Connecting... (with dots). Never leaves a message; phone number always busy when I try to call the number. The number is supposed to be a landline phone owned by itc Delta Com. They have offices all over the Southeast, including Jacksonville Fl. I have reported info to Do Not Call Registry since I am on the list. BellSouth Call Block service won't allow the number to be put on my Call Block list (but then I haven't found any number since 2001 that qualifies for the BS phone feature!)

EVEN CHARITIES & BILL COLLECTORS, ESPECIALLY CALL CENTERS, ARE NOT EXEMPT FROM MAKING FREQUENT CALLS IN EXCESS. "However, if a third-party telemarketer is calling on behalf of a charity, a consumer may ask not to receive any more calls from, or on behalf of, that specific charity. If a third-party telemarketer calls again on behalf of that charity, the telemarketer may be subject to a fine of up to $11,000."
I was NOT at all surprised to find out that it was the Fraternal Order of the Police.
They are the people who give telemarketers a BAD name and who make a nuisance out of themselves.
They are rude and unprofessional. They do not take no for an answer. When you try and be poilet and say I am not interested they get nasty.
They will use unethical means over the phone. An example was when my mom said "I really don't have the time for this...." and the man said "Okay, no problem I will just send the product to you and you can pay....." My mother was like "EXCUSE ME, no way are you pulling this scam on me, I did not in any way say I was doing any business with your organization"
They did this before when my parents were out of the state for several years. They sent tickets and expecting to be paid and when we called they said "We SPOKE to them about this and they have to pay" and I said "Really? That is hard to imagine as they have not been at this residence for 3 years. So someone is LYING?"
Any ways, time and time again we tell them to STOP calling and we are not interested.
Yet we get phone call after phone call.
Multiple times a day, multiple times a day using multiple telephone numbers....
In the past 3 or so days....

Sometimes they will call 3-4 times in less than an hour. It is a nuisance and harassment.
