I agree if you are a legit company why try to hide it? These people always seem to call when I am not home and cannot answer the phone. telling me to call in 24 hours or else! Well I don't have bad credit cause I have never had anything in my name other than my current Electric bill which I pay or I'd have no power :S. I have bad anxiety and these people are only making it WORSE!
Why I even picked up the phone when I knew that no one could ever possibly have a telephone number that has 7 zeros in it, but I did. The young lady on the other end was blunt, rude, no manners, and asked who I was. Who the hell are you? She asked for some guy and I said "who?". I said that there was no one here by that name and she had the gull to say.." Oh come on, you must be the one I am looking for. You can run and hide but we know where you live and you will pay the money that you owe or we will take legal action against you, so admit that you are him and pay your debt!" I was floored!! Who the f*** do you think you are talking to me like that and threaten ME!!! If you ever, EVER call here again and threaten me I will find out who you are and where YOU are and I will come and shove the god damn f****** phone up your a** you f****** [***]! I slammed the phone down and was furious!! Never EVER answer the phone if you do not recognize the number!!
Just received the call yesterday Sept. 9, 2014.
It is a man calling asking for someone who doesn't leave here.
They call several time a week, doesn't say why his calling.
I asked for his name and phone number, then he hung up.
He's now calling before 8am since no one answers the phone during the day.
I told him it is Illegal to call people before 8 am, just in case he's calling from a collection agency.
Hope CRTC will do something about it; since this 905 000 0000 is an out call only..
This number called me repeatedly and asked for me by name. I came on here to try and figure out who it was calling me, then responded to them. From what I have dealt with and from what I see on here: They are a company that somehow locates a persons past debts with numberous companies. Mine, personally, was them trying to collect on an old credit card debt that was paid years ago. But it was a legitimate debt, they had the amount and my full name, so they must be able to access this information from somewhere. I was redirected to "Racheal" after arguing with the man who answered the phone, trying to dodge my questions of who they were and why they were calling me. These people are unprofessional and what they are doing to people is wrong! I am hoping my dealings with them can provide some possible help for others being harrassed by these people.
For starters how I stopped the calls: I left a message for "Racheal" telling them that this debt has already been paid and if they continue to call me about it, I will be placing a complaint of harrassment in regards to them because what they are doing is illegal. I left the name of the company that I paid the debt to, the amount and date. Not sure if it made a difference that the debt was legitimately paid off or perhaps a simple bluff will be enough to get them off your back. They have not called me back now for about 4 days, so I think the calls have stopped for good now. Before, they were calling me about 4 times a day, everyday.
Also, I have seen time and time again on here that they never leave a call back number. I am so happy to provide everyone being harrassed by these morons with a NUMBER THAT YOU CAN CALL THEM BACK ON! They identified themselves to me as: National credit recovery corporations, but by reading these other posts, they call themselves lots of things. They are located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Their number is 1-877-269-5538.
So, I urge everyone who has been harrassed repeatedly by these people, to start dishing it back to them. Everytime you are having a bad day and feel like letting off some steam, feel free to call these guys up and just yell at them until you feel better. Maybe with enough calls of the tables being turned on them, they might consider another occupation after awhile. We can only hope and good luck to everyone who has to deal with these low-life's.
