That's fine...but when they keep calling even though you tell them "not interested" or calling in the middle of the night. People do sleep at 10:00 or 11:00 p.m.
they keep calling me over and over and i never answer as i do not answer numbers i don't know. They never leave a message. after googling, i will never answer this number.
This is some sort of survey/telemarketing company. They use an autodialer - I waited for the human because they have called me 12 times last week and 2 times just today. I asked them not to call anymore, and of course they said "yes, but we have important information for you..."
I keep a little notebook beside my phone to track this sort of stuff, and noticed that they have called me before with a credit card offer.
To the people who think unlisted numbers prevent these calls - there are companies that call entire banks of numbers with automated machines. They connect just long enough to determine whether the line is active (they hang up before it rings - there is some kind of electronic code sent by the phone company to say "this number exists on our system"). Then, they sell these list of "active" phone numbers to various list brokers, who sort them into neighborhoods using other data. So - if you have a phone number, these people are looking for it, and they are selling it to telemarketers.
