This number called wanting me to open computer and follow his instructions, said i was being hacked
This person received my name and number from a site on facebook, i am certain as i never give my house number and did this once and have had 3 calls now in 2 days from different people, this was one number that called
I got a call on Thursday from this number. He told me he was from Windows and it was about my computer. I told him it was a scam and told him to stop calling and not to call me again. I hung up. He then called back, I guess he didn't know what scam was!!! He said he was helping me. I told him I have the number he called from and I will report him. He said that his number doesn't show and that there is something wrong with my phone! Ha!
I received a call from this number today while having dinner. The caller informed me that he works for Microsoft Global Technical Support and he just received an alert message that my IP address is being hacked. He asked me to go in front of my computer and follow his instructions. I asked how did he get my name and number he mentioned it just appeared on their alert listing from the information Microsoft have on file. I asked him to provide me with the list of instructions and his name and number and I will contact my service provider and my computer technical support unit of these details and return his call. He mentioned they wouldn't have this information of the hacking as of yet. I again asked for the instructions to confirm and he hung up. Please beware of any calls received from this number or any other numbers regarding your IP address or hacking alerts. I called my service provider immediately after the call and they have confirmed yes this was scam.
Got a call from the "Windows Call Centre", I felt so honoured that a multi billion dollar corporation would single my computer out from the millions out there!....and I told him so! I asked him where he was located, he said Brooklyn NY even though he called me from a 905 number. TOTAL SCAM!!! Best part was he called me while I was driving down the highway so I had some time to f*** with his mind (which turned out to be quite small).
Just received a call saying he was calling about Windows in my computer and asked if I was having problems with my computer. I replied "why" should "I" discuss my computer with "you" ... then "he" got mad and hung up on me ... please be careful out there ... do not get scammed
