they called left a message for me to call an 800 number. they said to reference an account number of which i have no idea who they are or what this number is, as far as i am concerned this is just a way to scam people especially when you have no number to reference.
I just recieved a call from this number and they left a message that they were calling re: a lawsuit against me and that I would be recieving a court date in the mail , etc. I have never been contacted via mail about any lawsuit.... please help!

they call me once or twice a week with a recorded message: saying your file has been assigned and is ready for review. please call 877-853-2923 so we can go over the details.
i have recieved calls from 908-238-3062 saying they are debt collectors and are going to garnish my checks if i dont pay them. i set up a payment plan.. totalling $500. is this a scam and im just giving my money away? any help?
