The guy who called today, 3/2/15, was so rude! I kept asking him what company he was from and it was getting him mad that I would not asnwer his questions. I love messing with these people who call thinking they are getting over on me. They ask me if I can make decisions on the account among other questions so with every question they ask me, I ask them one. I tell them I can make decisions on the account so they will get to the point of their call. Once they give their malarchy sales pitch I tell them in a sweet sarcastic voice, "Oh darn, I am sorry, I am not the one who can make that decision afterall but I can tell you that we are not interested in changing our plan! Have a nice day!"
The company they claim they are working for, not the energy corps they say they are calling about. These people are brokers not JCP&L, PSE&G themselves.
Got a call from them stating they were from PSEG and would like to give me a rate reduction. Then, they started to ask about my invoices. I told them, "don't you have access to this?" they said no. I asked for their direct number to call back. When I called back, it was not PSEG and then realized what had been going on. BIG TIME SCAM. What pissed me off was that they said that they've been sending me marketing material in my PSEG bills. What a bunch of BS.
They called claiming that they were Champion calling on behalf of JCP&L and wanted to know if I looked over the marketing materials enclosed in our bill. I told him that there were none and he told me that there was, but everyone overlooks it. (I am positive no marketing was in the bill...I am the only one who opens the bill) Then he said he needed my meter info which could be found on my most current bill. I told him at that point that I believe them to be trying to be deceitful and not to call back again. I hung up before he could respond back. Sounds suspicious. If you aren't doing anything wrong, why be deceitful and sneaky about it?
