I got this same exact call today. Identical! I asked for paperwork to be sent to me home and she became very rude! She hung up told me to get " Maria" who ever that is and hung up. About 3 mins later she called back and told me she just saw I had a criminal record. Nice scare tactic except I've never been arrested our in jail in my life! She hung up on me again! It's scary that they are doing background checks and have access to very personal information and are breaking every law and harassing people! Give no information! Steer clear!
I got a call from Agent Tammy Smith..she called my work and left me a message and then she also called my home and told me I had till noon today to call her. I just called her and I followed the instructions above and I also asked her for her address and she gave me this address 155 N Lake Ave Suite 800 in Passidina Ca 91101...That is funny like the comment said before me a CA address not a New Jersey address and she had to put me on hold to get it.
I got a call from Ms Smith, wouldn't tell me her whole name. From ASF financial services. She said I had a loan with payday loan yes 12/20/2012. I looked at my bank statement from then and only had a loan with easy cash online, which was settled. Anyone actually have to go to court with these people? They keep calling my job, have called three times today.

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

I got 2 calls from this number today 4 minutes apart. In one message a woman named Tammy Smith said it was very important that I call her back regarding a my case she received on her desk. The second phone call was from the exact same woman but this time her name was Kaitlin Rogers. This has to be a scam how many names does this woman have?? She left no company name or what the "case" was about.
