Multiple texts from this number requesting our company do pressure washing and painting on a house. Wanted to pay immediately with a credit card because he has lung cancer. He then asked to add >$6000 to the amount charged to the credit card and have us pay someone else for him for a "Commission charge". This is clearly a scam.
Got a text from "Charles" looking to have a web site created for him. He wants to charge it to a credit card but it can't be through Paypal or Four Square. He has content provided by a consultant, but the consultant wants cash. So, the scam is to have me charge his card for my fee and the consultant's fee and send the consultant the his fee by check. This is a scam where they get you to charge the card (stolen) and get you to send them a good check and when the card bounces, you get stuck for the consultant fee. This is the fourth time I've seen this in the last nine months. I've played these a$$holes until they give up just for fun. No time for the latest one. Just tell them you have a $500 cash proposal fee and they'll probably pass you by.
Same as Sparrow298 above. "Charles" asking for web design to be paid via credit card only, and something about another 'consultant'. Steer clear of this.
