add on craigs list - was on the road, did not have access to e-mail

SAME HERE, CRAIGSLIST RENTAL AD 'BILL' THAT ANSWERED AD AND ASKED ME TO CALL 908-554-2787.. SO I DID, 3X'S, $10 EACH.. THE PHONE COMPANY DID END UP TAKING IT OFF AFTER 3 PHONE CALLS.. NOW I KEEP GETTING CALLS FROM UNKNOWN NAME AND UNKNOWN NUMBER AND A HANG UP. I AM AFRAID THAT I AM GONNA GET BILLED MORE MONEY FOR ANSWERING PHONE!! ITS A SCAM!!! DONT CALL THE NUMBER BACK.
Received an email in response to a Craigslist listing stating that a "Bill" at 908-554-2787 was interested in purchasing the item. Called the number and left a voicemail, following month, there was a $10.00 charge on my phone bill for calling this number. Don't know what company it is but it's a scam. Following is text of email:
HI, I am very interested in your ad on Craigslist, PLEASE
give me a call when you have a minute, 908 554 2787
Bill, unfortunatly I will be away from my email the rest of the day
