Yes, I recieved a email from 2 different people for the same phone number.
When I called the number is dead.

I just went through an exhaustive argument with Verizon (my telephone provider) for over 2 hours and as described above, they refuse to remove the charges.  There seems to be not tracking whatsoever of the creation and billing of what is termed "EASY NUMBERS" whereby exorbitant charges are made to a consumer when calling the number.  The phone co. puts there hands up saying it's not their responsibility nor CAN they monitor this type of situation. I did find out that you can BLOCK this type of number so you'll never get charged again...but only if you ask.

File written complaints with Phone Company (obligatory, but useless), State AG's office, and FCC.  Complaint must be written to preserve your rights.  There is an FCC requirement that the rate is announced within 10 seconds and the call is not charged if you hang up within 20 seconds.  This number is not in compliance and due to the nature of how you were requested to call it, it constitutes actual FRAUD.

wow...i thought i was the only one with this issue.  I too posted on craigslist and got this response from "mark".  I called it twice but haven't noticed any charges on my cell phone bill.  but what i have noticed is a couple of random "unknown" numbers calling me and hanging up...this stuff is crazy...WHERE DO THESE PEOPLE come from?????!!!!!
