Caller ID says Loma Linda Medical but the person with the strong Indian accent says he is call about my computer being infected. When I told him that I was a police officer and I wanted to know who he was and where he was located, the told me to go "F" myself and hung up.
Got a call from callerid Redland CA. Indian guy, thick accent. I get calls to the home phone all the time from these windows indian people and I always say I have a mac and they hang up. I decided to play his little game. It was so hard to understand him. He said there was a problem with my computer, and he is technical support. Asked for my age and name, which I said" John Doe." Asked "whats on your screen" - "desktop" what is on your keyboard...do you see ctrl? "yes..." "what is next to control" "shift, alt..space" "see the windows key" "yes" "press the key" "sure" "what do you see sir?" "start menu?" and then HE SAID..."FU* YOU MUDDER F*ER F* YOU MUDDER YOU F*ING UR MUDDER F*ER" and then he hung up on me. I had a good laugh....
Just called, ID said LOMA LINDA MEDI. I googled this while it was ringing, did not pick up, no message left. FYI... my brand new laptop was just at Geek Squad being repaired at the beginning of this week. Not sure if this is related, but based on what is being posted about this number, thought I would add that information.
