In early 2014, when both our phone lines were ringing every 30 minutes we found a blocking device that works perfectly and allows us to block entire area codes and phone numbers.
The original version of the blocking device only blocked 60 numbers and/or area codes. Eventually, we had to purchase a second blocker to handle the volume of stored area codes and phone numbers. Lastly, we purchased a third blocker (all the same brand) that blocks 1,000 area codes or phone numbers. The wonderful thing is that our phones do not ring when these criminals call. We also purchased the pan a sonic phone (one for each line) that we use to block local (S. CA) full phone numbers. The blockers and the phones work perfectly together. Highly suggested for folks that are sick of these criminal telemarketer.

The Epilepsy Pick up scammer called today twice. Their number has been blocked long time ago, so my phone rings once and hangs up on them. A also have a pan-a-sonic (land line) with caller ID, but it blocks only up to 30 full numbers. As far as I know there is no blocking software that is effective on land lines, at least for the time being. You have not mentioned if the blocker(s) that you are using work on land lines. It would be good to know.
