I keep getting calls from this number that either hang up, call me by name as if we're friends, and the latest addressed me by my first name, then said "This is Mike, from MCM". I don't know them, don't sign up for stupid crap, and I register and re-register with the do not call list for home & cell phones. They call several times a day, every day of the week.
Been calling me for 2-3 weeks now ... When I called back no respons ... When I answered today he said he was from LCS trying to confirm my name and adress (odd thing it was the adress to my parents in Georgia) not even mine .... He then talked about some auto insurance still trying to confirm my information .... I interrupted him and said why would I request some info for auto insurance ... He then said " well do u have a car " .... I lied and said no ...he then said " oh I guess we have the wrong information then and hung up ...... Very odd .... I haven't requested any quotes on anything wondering where these ppl got my number , name and address from
Got this call tonight on my business line, which is the only reason I called it back. Called saying I had requested auto insurance and he was doing a follow up? It's been at least 6 months since I did, but I did use "the general" and maybe they sell your info? Seems like one of those if we can get you to say yes we'll bill you scammers. He kept pushing for verification of my info, and wouldn't answer my questions. When I said, no I'm happy with my insurance he said, "that's fine I still need your information anyway" and proceeded to ask me who I do have insurance with. At that point I knew it had to be a scam/trap call, so I said, "no thank you, have a nice evening" and hung up. I'd be very wary with speaking with them, because they are very aggressive about getting your personal information which raises a lot of red flags to me. Very similar to the website scam calls to me.
