I keep getting calls from this number that either hang up, call me by name as if we're friends, and the latest addressed me by my first name, then said "This is Mike, from MCM". I don't know them, don't sign up for stupid crap, and I register and re-register with the do not call list for home & cell phones. They call several times a day, every day of the week.
Been getting this call on my cell and it shows up on my phone warrior as Val's Teacher. Figured it was a wrong number. I don't answer numbers I don't know. Tonight I was ill. i called the number back because it rang when I was trying to get in the house. Man didn't even say hello. He rattled off something and asked to speak to me by name. I told him no he couldn't and not to call this number again. I figure it's a debt collector because I am having problems paying my bills. But my cell is not my contact info. They are not suppose to use that and I don't recall ever putting it down on any application. Some of my credit cards I have defaulted on I had for at least a decade before I ever had a cell phone so I know I didn't put it on those applications.

Just called me at 6:10am asking for me by my first name. There was lots of noise in the background of the call. As soon as I said this is she, the lady hung up. I have no idea what was so flipping important at 6:10am for them to call but going by other comments that this is an auto insurance thing is probably right for this call as well. For YEARS, I mean like 6 years at least, I have been getting phone calls from people claiming to have my requested auto quote information. I have been with my current auto insurance company for 10 years and we called that company direct for a quote, not a third larty. We have never requested a third party quote so I have no idea what kind of crap they are trying to pull, but I'm sick of it. I think I'll just start telling them that I no longer have a car.
