It is a Verizon call. They are constantly calling me to upgrade my service even though I've asked them to stop calling me for solicitation. I've made this request FOUR TIMES. I am absolutely considering dropping their service altogether once my contact is up.
This is a land line from a company called "Level 3 Communications LLC". They are based out of Wilmington, NC. Most likely solicitor, but worst case scenario this is a scam artist looking for unwary prospects.
I've gotten these types of calls before. Just don't answer the phone when they call: they will dwindle down to nothing soon enough. They only disadvantage is that they may hassass certain people on their call list for weeks.
Some one called my cell phone and when I answered it, a recording said I had an urgent message and then it disconnected. I dialed number back and recording said to enter my zip code and press the pound key to retrieve message. I did that and a recording said it was Verizon and my bill was past due and to continue my service to do something. I don't remember because I didn't pay attention and hung up. ID showed no name along with phone number.
