They've called here at least twice, the machine picking up each time. It's a phishing scam, except over the telephone instead of email. They're pretending to represent Vantage Credit Union "Security Department", saying your account has been disabled, and that you need to give them personal information to re-enable it. No bank would ever do this. Do not give these people any information. It's a scam.
This number is still being used apparently - didn't catch who the automated message pretended to represent but same scam, I hung up and saved the # as DontAnsw PhishFu...
Just receive a call from this number. They used my name and said I had 1 business day to respond to the call. No other info was given but the call back # is a 1888 #
this # and company name sent a check from them somehow with my bank account # on it for 469.00 to a financial company. the persons name was on the check. then I had an electric bill payed with my checking account # by the same persons name on the check. I also had a walmart charge for a prepaid phone for $70.00, in the same city listed on the check. great scam artists. all happened so fast, but am disputing it. BEWARE.
