Who called from 9144010052

This individual runs scams in which he pretends to contact someone with a service (I tutor), saying he will pay in advance and send you a certified check when he goes out of town.  He sent me a check and it is clearly a company check, not certified, for more than what I was asking.  He said for me to send the extra to a nanny and I would get $50 for my troubles.  This was clearly a red flag, in addition to the fact that he only texts, refuses to take calls from this number.  I did a search for both his name and the "nanny"'s and neither exist, I believe them to be aliases.  I tore up his check and sent him the  photo, calling him on his scam; he has not contacted me since.  He was very persistent and emailed me about 20 times, discussing schedules and tutoring details for his son, insistent that I should cash his check and find out it was real.  I was not buying any of it, please don't fall for this guy.  I plugged his "son"'s pic into image search and found it is a picture of a boy of a different name that he stole off the web.

thanks for posting this.  I received a text from this person today and it immediately raised red flags.  The text said he was deaf and couldn't call and wanted me to email him immediately to discuss details.   I can't say why I was suspicious but people have attempted to scam me before in similar ways.  Yours is the second posting I've found that confirms what I suspected.
