Someone called, (he spoke broken english,) and said that the government doesn't allow us to give them your credit card or bank account numbers anymore, so he gave me a code (GG1105) and said to call back in 10 minutes. He promised a government grant in the sum of $9,200 dollars, and said it could be used for legal purposes, but not alcohol, or gambling.(How would they know if it was used for that? lol) When I called back, he said:
Walmart has a "money gram." When I go there, I needed to take 3 things, which are a picture ID, my cell phone (so he could stay on the phone with me the whole time, his name was "John Miller" his ext. was 111) and $255. Apparently, the 255 was refundable, they would send it back once we got the grant money (yeah right). I eventually hung up.
A total scam, don't waste your time with these guys!
This caller asked me to go to money gram and pay $250.00 so I can get a free money grant from the government amount ing to $2,500.00!!! What a big joke! Scam!
I just received a call that came in "anonymous" telling me that my phone number and name has been selected to receive a grant from the government. I took down this number 914-481-3261 as a call back number to verify my money. I am not calling these people. I am getting sick of these people calling my phone!
I received a call from 202-222-2202 and was told to call 914-481-3261 so that I can receive a randomly selected government grant of $9,200. I was told to go to Money Gram and pay a $207 fee in order to receive the money. WATCH OUT FOR THIS SCAM!!!!!
