Called cell phone yesterday. Do not pick up any number I do not recognize. Male recording left voicemail about medical alert blah, blah, blah. California area code. I am in NJ.
Received call, left message that someone recommended me for medical alert. SCAM. We are on the DNC list....it doesn't do any good. You can bet the telephone company knows who they are and why is the telephone company never held responsible for issuing these numbers.

It may have been blocked by a free service I subscribe to which is available to most Internet-based VoIP phone service users(I have Time Warner which now lets you select this free service via your account sign-on - see MY PHONE and Call Privacy). Google "no more robocalls" to get more information.
