Generally it's a good idea to go to mechanics you know and trust. And, that have recommendations from friends of yours who've had work done.
I've had something of the same experience.
I'd never keep a car in a shop for much longer than the time it takes to do the job. Based on my experience a transmission rebuild shouldn't cost much more than 1200 dollars (depending on type) and take no more than a few days. Never allow a car to stay in a shop more than a day or so after the work should be done by terms of the original estimate.
But-- the posters are right, this is not the forum for a concrete business dispute.
I felt it was a bit pointless to sue someone who has already been sued ten times, but your right. I should probably stay quiet and hope no one else becomes a victim. I already filed a lawsuit and contacted the bbb and the news station and im going to let them handle it. Thank you for your advice
We can understand that, but repetitively posting the same thing over and over again tends to dilute the helpfulness of the post and devolves it into spam. Then you get people thinking things about your post you weren't expecting.
It's good to read you took a second look at how to handle this. If you are in West Texas, even in a small town, you should have a few shops to choose from. CWG40 has some good guidelines there. You take care now!
