The caller id comes up as a string of numbers 83113102300131 but actual # calling appears as 915-710-8581. Thank goodness Verizon has the "block" option.
Every single day I get a call from this Texas as well as Illinois, oregon, maryland, ny, nj, and a few others , to many to list. I'm glad I found this forum on line because I was thinking about calling the numbers back. Thanks for the helpful info.
ID'd = 'Texas Call' on caller ID...they left no other identification and no message on V-mail. Since this is the first call I can remember this # calling to my land line I did not report it and was not home to answer or call back. There is no effective way I know to stop this, especially if it comes with criminal intent. If it is a repeated occurrence, I will report the # to the Fraud Department of AT&T...otherwise this appears to be the 'price of doing business' i.e. simply having/using a phone or cellphone!
