Got a call on my government-issued cell phone at 1:08pm on 7/26/17. I had no choice but to answer as this is my job phone and I am not allowed to ignore it. There was dead silence and then they hung up. I cannot believe I am getting scam calls on a government-issued cell phone.
There is. Never answer a call like that with "Yes". Scammers use this recording of you saying "Yes" for financial transactions and such where a verbal agreement on your part.
Never answer "yes" to a caller like this. They may be trying to get a recorded "yes" from you and then later say that you agreed to buy some service from them.
I received a phone call from 917 242-3109 on August 14, 2017 on my cell phone. My phone number is on the Do Not Call Registry yet I still received this call. It was a recording stating that my vehicle warranty had expired. They recording asked if I wanted to speak to a live agent. I responded with "Live Agent" (Never respond with "Yes). They ended the call. I tried calling the number on my phone yet I get a message stating that this is not a valid number. This is a total scam.
