Received phone message from 917-300-3427 with id name of Vladimir Jankovic. Yes, it was stating from IRS to collect a debt. Are people really that desperate? Besides it was a very choppy message. Only heard parts of it.
"Final notification call from IRS and if we don't hear from you immediately this matter will be taken to the court of law".
WTH! So, I called the number back and it was answered with,"IRS". So, I asked,"What do you want??! Why are you calling me?! You're the one that's going to see the inside of a courtroom if you continue to harass people! IDIOT" Really??!! Shady business!
This number call trying to run a scam this afternoon, and I have reported it to my states Taxation Department.
- Please do the same if you get a call of this sort from this number or any other number stating these kinds of claims! There is NO REASON TO BELIEVE THAT THHIS IS A LEGITIMATE CALL. Our government agencies working for, or representing the United States Department of I R S will
NEVER CALL YOU DEMANDING PAYMENTS, OR THREATEN YOU IN ANY WAY!
MOST IMPORTANTLY - WILL NEVER CONTACT YOU OVER THE PHONE REGARDING ANY PRESSING MATTERS OR ASKING FOR ANY PERSONAL OR IDENTIFYING INFORMATION!
I did not answer, but a voicemail was left on my personal cell. A recorded message stated that I am "under scrutiny by the Internal Revenue Service"
It is appalling to think that my phone number is even out there somewhere for these scam artists to be finding and making a call to.
PLEASE REPORT THESE TYPES OF CALLS!
