The caller ID said "V721122917000614219" so I was immediately suspicious. Some woman in a very loud call center and a crappy connection told me something about my car insurance rates. They called an office, and also I don't have a car. Said "Thanks but I'm not interested" and hung up immediately, haven't heard back yet.
This number is a voip number and can be used anywhere in the country. It's registered to Peerless Network of NY. You might want to contact that company and complain or to the FCC.
Caller Id says New York NY. Number is actually robo-called from a call center in the sewers of India. These days, there are no bargains in auto or home insurance. The first question to ask is if the caller is really a licensed agent in your state; callers from the scam call centers in India are not likely to licensed agents in your state. Secondly, where is the nearest claims office for that company? The caller will probably have no idea. So, if you have a claim on their policy, it may well be nearly impossible to get a claims agent out to look at your home or car. Good luck otherwise. Go local and see an insurance agent in your local area. Do not answer e-mails either, offering insurance bargains, as you will get dozens of spam e-mails daily. Blocked until the next spam caller.
