SCAM! Who knows what they even wanted but a gentleman by the supposed name of William Smith called for an individual in our office. I asked him what company he was with and he said he was not with one, but that his cousin John Marsh (March?) was friends with our employee and gave him some documents that he needed to talk about. I knew it was a scam based on the information provided and he became agitated that I was asking him questions. When I put him on hold he of course hung up.
Too much noise behind the caller, refused to identify what they were calling for after asking for someone in a department that does not accept incoming calls. Must be sitting on top of each other, one close enough to understand they were getting a little -too- personal with whomever they were speaking with.
Happy New Year - tis the season to go phishing,
Heeeeeee's back. Calling for someone who has not worked here in years. I ask who they are calling from and they say no one and so i just keep messing with them. He then states he is a friend, For got who he was calling for because first they wanted to speak with her and then it changed to speak with him. Bogus. Next time i will say i am the person who they are asking for to see exactly what is it they are trying to scam.
I had 3 calls come in at one time from this number. Asking for a colleague with thick accent. said she was calling from her home but you can hear the call center noise. First female hung up the second call was a male and he didn't like the fact that i told him that I had 3 calls from that number, he said it was his first time calling etc. put him through to a voicemail but I don't know if he left one. scum
Pretty much the same as the others have stated: Woman with a heavy Middle East accent called my work number, noisy background, when I answered the phone there was a short delay typical of a call center, she stated my full name, I replied speaking and she hung up. I have called that number back 3 times today and each time I got a busy signal. I checked to see if this number had called my companies' main line and it had. My guess is that's how they got my full name using the directory search. The good news is that number did not call anyone else in my office yet.
