These people are calling and when I answered, nobody said anything. The recording was asking for someone who may have had this number previously. How do I stop them from calling? I tried calling them back to speak with someone but was unsuccessful.
I have been receiving these calls three times a day for several months. A recorded message says they are calling for "Ivy". I don't know this person. The message says if you are this person, to press a number, if you are not this person to hang up. I hang up. If I call the number back, I get nothing but dead air.
I have reported this to the FCC and the FTC. They feel because the message never identifies the caller, this is a scam. They recommend I also report this to the State Atty General and DNC list at 888-382-1222.
guy said he was with market research. He wanted to confirm our address and the president and already had all of our information. He wanted to send marketing info over to us.
