I receive ext messages from this, always thanking me for visiting their website and please call 866-952-9481 to claim some gift certificate or gas card. It states that I can text back STOP to unsubscribe. I have done that, I have used the useless government sites to report spam, I have threatened legal action as well as criminal harassment charges and finally tried calling. No use. It stops for a week or two and then I start getting several a day. I had thought unsolicited text was a crime?
I also keep getting texts from this number. I do not want to reply 'STOP' , so I called 800 number. That # belongs to 'Angie's List', and they don't know anything about why I am getting texts. This is very aggravating, considering I get these texts at ALL hours of the day!
The text message came from 925-231-5478 & said to call 877-439-0044 for a survey that can get you a $100 cash rewards card. I've heard you should never call these numbers. I'm adding all such numbers to my cell phone blocked call list.
Also received a text at 5AM from 310-962-2057 which said,"Do you need some quick cash? Get up to $1500 wired into your bank account today! Just text back "CASH" for info or STOP to cancel. These type texts are getting more and more frequent.
My entire family's cell numbers are on the National Do Not Call List. If you receive a text or call, the FCC recommends you file a complaint. Even text messages are a violation according to their website.
