The solar energy lead pests in Pittsburg have incremented to yet another new number.
It is 'National Renewable Energy Center' solar lead telemarketers.
This is the next fake phone number increment (probably to dodge call blockers - or lawsuits) from:
925-439-8640, 925-439-8630, 925-439-8620, 925-439-8581, 925-439-8548, 925-439-8659 ... etc.
NREC is a "referral company" in both northern and southern California that uses minimum wage work-from-home drones to skype spam-call a computer list of phone numbers to try and generate leads that they then sell to actual solar panel installers.
They violate the DNC list, and will not (or can not) remove you from the list (another violation).
I have told them that I am a renter (thus a waste of their time and mine) - and asked to be removed from their call list.
They still call me every day - so I will continue to post this warning for each of their new numbers as it shows up.
Do not deal with criminals or the companies that they sell marketing leads to!
I called them pests, not scammers.
There is legitimate telemarketing that follows the law, and there are the others.
Yes this is a real business trying to find leads to sell to solar installers.
However, they cannot get you a better deal than you can find on your own.
(I have reputable local solar installers with a booth set up at the nearby hardware store offering discounts.)
As telemarketers, these pests violate the DNC list, and hide behind some sort of public service ruse.
Also, they will not remove you from the call list as required.
This makes them pests and violators - but not a scam.
Scams are criminals trying to steal your information and money (usually from overseas).
Pests are just an annoying waste of time and effort.
Why have they called me 15-20 times in recent weeks after I told them I am a renter (which is true)?
So I guess they are stupid pests.
ps - My sister was a telemarketer for a while, and suffered the abuses of the job.
My advice (and hers) is to try to find a line of work with better karma!
No, this is an outrage. We have solar. I tell them to take us off their list but they call literally every damn day. That is not a legit company. If you cannot be removed from their list, how is that legit???
This call is from A1 Solar Power, a solar company based in Van Nuys, California (with six branches throughout the state: San Diego, Costa Mesa, Carpenteria, Petaluma, Concord, and San Jose) or one of its telemarketing fronts.
A1 Solar Power’s telemarketing fronts usually spoof both the Caller-ID name and the Caller-ID number or use recently disconnected numbers.
