A perky woman told me that I had won a free vacation package and then I was transferred to a man who asked me my age, whether I was single or married, if I lived alone or not. Eventually I just said "Sorry, goodbye" and I hung up the phone. I'm not exactly sure what their deal is, but it seems extremely sketchy and untrustworthy.
The deal is you and your spouse (singles need not apply) have to attend a 90 minute sales presentation for a timeshare or vacation club membership or something related to the vacation industry where you'll have to pay for meals, gratuity, whatever they can think up (you certainly didn't think the vacation you *WON* was going to be free, did you?). Worst still, I've heard of timeshare tours misrepresented as "vacations" where you will be hounded to buy! buy! buy! on your "vacation."
