I got a call, when my answering machine answered it, it went to dial tone and rang like I called it. Then the recorded voice said "if you want to make a call please hang up...." I didn't make a call.
Caller said he was the air conditioning company that Home Depot uses. I countered that I'm on the do-not-call list and hung up. No company name, just Flagstaff AZ. Scam.
Doesn't sound like a political call to me. I work in this field (not scamming but protecting those who have been). Sounds like a scammer who spoofs numbers to either sell your number as a "live line" to eventually scam you out of money. Either way someone makes money. All you can do is keep blocking numbers until we have a better solution.
