This was most likely a call from the University of Dayton Annual Fund, calling to see if you'd like to contribute

I give to UD exactly the same amount they gave to me toward my education.  $0.00.   But then I'm not from the middle east which is who gets their UD education for free.  Wish they would stop calling me.  I'm onto them now and just don't answer.

UD's marketing efforts are out of control.  They NEVER leave a message, and always call in the middle of the dinner hour.   Hey, UD - if you want to solicit donations, don't call alumni without the courtesy of leaving a message, because I will NEVER answer from an unsolicited number without that.

I've asked UD to stop calling me. Having to take ROTC for 2 years and theology and Catholic philosophy every year sucked up 32 trimester hours and deprived me of a liberal education.
I had the same experience with their calling:
dinner hours and a total lack of courtesy in not leaving a voice mail.
Says enough about the quality of the the education.

They call me every day, today I answered and there was no one on the line and then I was hung up on.
