Did you ask any of your neighbors for recommendations recently?
You might ask your neighborhood who they use for cleaning windows, as it is typical for these types of home services to try to promote themselves within a neighborhood once they have gotten on client in the neighborhood, and they often don't look at the Do Not Call list.
My neighborhood association has a Yahoo Groups listserve and one person recently asked for recommendations. One elderly couple has a housecleaner who cleans the windows on the outside about twice a year. That housecleaner has never asked me if I wanted her cleaning services.
This number is Gulf Coast Window and Pressure Cleaning. After calling me two days in a row, during my babies' nap time, and having no one on the line when I answered I called the number back. I stated that I received two calls from them and didn't know why. Without getting my name or number the representative I spoke two first said I must be a customer of theirs. I told them I am not. Then he said that they are probably doing work in my area. I said that I still didn't know why they were calling me because I am on the do not call list. He said they pay a lot of money to keep up with the list so my number must have expired. I pointed out that the list doesn't expire and hasn't for years. Then he said it must be an error and asked for my street name- not my name or number, but my street name- to prevent further calls. I gave it to him and said he better make sure not to call here again because they are already getting a reputation for violating the DNC list and to search for their number online.
This number has been on the DNC list for 5 years, and since the exiration date was eliminated 3 years ago, I shouldn't have received any calls. I can understand an error, but half a dozen, and not knowing the law or taking responsibility for it? Not okay.
Clarification: the half dozen DNC violations are the posts here, not calls to me. My conversation with them would have been very different if they had called me a half dozen times.
It is a felony as of Dec 2010 to call with a fake caller id or give a fake name. Please do not answer these calls. Turn off your answer machines you have caller id. Donot call list is ajoke and has no powers. They do not follow up on indivual complaints nor does the FTC. You can sue them and they have to pay the lawyer. You only get a few thousand dollars.

I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO CALL YOU BUT IF YOU DO SAY DNC I RESPECT YOUR WISHES AND PLACE YOU ON DNC. OTHER WISE FOR COLLECTING ON BILLS.... WELL I HAVE TO KEEP CALLING OR I LOOSE MY JOB
