Says they are law firm. "Nate" last name is blurred in voice mail so u cannot look them up. Law firm is not listed in any business directory. Any legit law firm is listed and would be referenced with state bar license number, this one does not. They speak of a relative in foreclosure and house being sold and that u have an inheritance $200,000 waiting. This is part one of a scam. They will call you again to send money to claim inheritance. I called their number back and law firm: Nate answered on a Saturday at 9:00am. Said he needed my info to look up info. There is no free money. Anything official like property or such have processes in place. 99% of calls are scams. Educate yourself and others and you can play the game of Name That Scam. The newer scams involve relatives and friends....linkability! Be sure to post their numbers on various websites to help others. Seven Blessings:)
This [***] called me about my brother's house. Said that the house was sold earlier this morning (my brother unaware) and that they have a check for the remainder of the money to give to him. I was supposedly listed as an emergency contact. I immediately called my brother, he immediately called his attorney and although he is in the process of a loan modification, the auction sale was fake.

A lot of complaints about this "Olympia" law firm which is supposed to be in Irvine CA going around and calling people up and saying that a house of some relative has been sold and that they have a pot of money for them or some relative. Total scam. I called that number and a person who I talked to -- I could barely hear because of the broken nature of the connection, said they were Olympia law firm in Irvine. Nothing makes any sense.
Foreclosure or trustee/lender sales of real estate are carefully regulated in most states. Normally the entity foreclosing (or trustee) gets the total proceeds of the sale. They do not hold any monies aside for anyone else.

This is the blurb they put out:
This(Olympia Law, P.C.) is a law firm, not a signing service. They specialize in real estate and bankruptcy and hire notaries to obtain clients' signatures on retainers. PC means professional corporation but I cannot find any such business listed by the California Secretary of State.
Seems to me they are drifting off into scammery.
Hire notaries to obtain retainer signatures? Who does that? And why would you use a notary? Each state licenses its' own notaries. Usually the client himself or his own agent will sign off on retainer agreements.
What the devil kind of scam is this, and how, exactly, does it work?
Looks like something's wrong.
