Received a call today...no message left. We did apply for an auto loan through Lending Tree about a month ago, though. I think it's safe to say it's Lending Tree at this point.
I did apply for an auto loan w/ Lending Tree - didn't end up using them after all, but just got a call from this number. The call dropped before I could figure out who it was - why I looked it up on this site. So if it's Lending Tree, likely not a scam.
I applied with them a few weeks ago and they called me today. I did not talk to them when they called, but when I applied, they only referred me to lenders who would loan to me, and didn't offer to loan me anything. I didn't think they loaned money themselves. I would be cautious, but it should have said when you applied if they loan money or just refer you to lenders.
