This is a solicitor by the name of "Global Listing". I received a call from 949-268-0176 and the woman asked for me by name, as the owner of my business. She had an asian accent (it sounded Chinese) and said, "I represent Google Listing and we get your business on the first page of Google". She asked if I am the owner of the business. I didn't answer, but instead I asked if she works for Google. She repeated part of the script she's memorized, and said, "I represent Google Listing". I asked what company she works for. She repeated, "I represent Google Listing". I told her that she's not answering my question, and that I need to know the name of the company she works for. She said "Google Listing". Again, I asked if she works for Google, and she said, "Google Listing". When I asked her to spell it (it took me three times to get her to understand what I wanted) she finally spelled it "G-L-O-B-L-E L-I-S-T-I-N-G" (I assume it's actually GLOBAL). This was very frustrating, but I was able to impart to her that I'm not interested and asked her to remove my number from her contact list and thanked her for cooperating.
Solicitor pretending to be from Google conducting a Survey. The lady had an Indian accent and asked if i'm the owner as the previous reviewer said. I followed though the "survey" and was transferred to a company called "Reliable Services" who also pretending to be google trying to sell you $199/mo SEO service plus $60 setup fee to get started.
When I asked if she works for google or is affiliated with google, she said google only does search and avoided my question. When I asked again she said she works for a company called "Reliable Services" Based in California.
So it's just another online seo company trying to rip you off with low quality SEO service.
I don't like the fact they are tricking you to think they are from Google and not mention anything else if you don't ask them.
Just received a call from same. Man with Asian accent asking for the Owner by Name. He is calling from what sounded like Google Listing saying a place has come open on the front page and wanted to speak with "owner name" about getting us listed on the front page. But since Owner was not available hung up...
Completely rude character, calling to do a survey related to marketing for our business. He called over and over again, over and over and over. I told him I wasn't interested. No matter, he calls me as though he has nothing to do but call my number. I would never do business with them--EVER. So he should stop calling me.
