Received a cal today.  They would not give a name, comapany nameor anything.  Threaten to call my HR department.

Have you heard anything back from those people or even seen a paper in the mail yet... They called me today doing the same but knew something was up when they said it was back in 2012 because I was still in highschool..? JW

Called with my maiden name and he said this was my only chance to make good on a old debt. Would not name the company.

also received a call from them about a person i have no idea who it is. supposedly they are called legal mediation and associates. i looked up legal mediation associates its a company out of Florida and is legit however the number 209-336-9608 is not associated with them at all !"john brooks" told me they were out of california. i called the real company and told them and i also filed a report with the ftc and bbb. these scammers have to be stopped. the man on the phone was named  john brooks. probably not his real name but in case he calls any of you. he gave me a website legal1mediation.com its not a real website. dont bother entertaining these people. they dont have a life. they cant sue you and we could actually sue them for harassment. all they will do is change their number and company name to keep trying to scam people instead of getting a real job !

Just got a call from this famous fraudulent "John Brooks", who could hardly put together a sentence and yet claimed his was a lawyer. Said that legal action has been filed against me for check fraud to some company called Avalon. Said they'd sent me a legal notice to an address I had 6 years ago.  Interestingly enough he had my legit email address.  Asked him to resend the notification, said I'd been notified and there was nothing I can do. Told him this is total fraud and I was not liable for anything and was not going to do anything.
