Tracie, if you do not recognize the number or it is our of your error. 99% of the time it is a scammer. Do not answer it.
If it is important they will leave a message. and you can call back. If you answer it tells them that it is a good number and they resale your number to other people looking for numbers. I cannot believe it is worth the trouble they use call so many people who HATE THEM.
I sometimes answer these call and scream into the phone. ..."the job is done, there is blood everywhere, run, run run" and I hang up. Let them stew on that for a while. ha.
Got their call. Asked what they were selling today (due to the out of province area code). Said he was promoting businesses on Google. Advised I have hear this scam several times before and will report his number. He laughed as I hung up on him. Blocked number on our phone systems. They will call again from another number, but for a day or so no one else using our systems will get their calls.
They Kept calling me, Said they worked for Google, they were very demanding for my personal information, i never gave it to them and they left a very rude message. Dont answer there phone call.
Deceptive - they lead you to believe they are working for Google, but they are not. Persistent - won't take NO for an answer. Annoying - After I gave them a clear NO, they called back again the next day.
