Tracie, if you do not recognize the number or it is our of your error. 99% of the time it is a scammer. Do not answer it.
If it is important they will leave a message. and you can call back. If you answer it tells them that it is a good number and they resale your number to other people looking for numbers. I cannot believe it is worth the trouble they use call so many people who HATE THEM.
I sometimes answer these call and scream into the phone. ..."the job is done, there is blood everywhere, run, run run" and I hang up. Let them stew on that for a while. ha.
I have a small business also and this is a scam. Someone with a thick India accent called and wanted to talk about
my map listing on Google and said a "spot had come open". I said thank you very much for calling and hung up. I
have now blocked that number from calling again. You may want to check your cell or house phone service to see if
you can block that number for free. It's pretty easy. I can block up to 12 numbers free online with Xfinity voice and I
know Verizon offers something similar for free.
949-381-0821 shows on caller id as Exp M
***Unrelated to this number above*****
Don't just call back to talk with them as there is another scam going on that is in Jamica and you would be charged almost
$30.00 for calling back. Their scam is to ring your home/business once, then hang up. People will dial the number back
displayed on caller id and be charged almost $30.00. At least do a google search for the area code.
BE SAFE...DON'T BE SCAMMED!!!
This number called, asked for the owner...I said, "the owner is out of town for the weekend" he hung up. I called back and asked to speak to the owner...the person who answered said he was the owner. I promptly told him to F*** off and if he ever called me again, it would be the last call he ever makes and hung up...
when google calls you - the caller ID will actually say GOOGLE - so anyone else calling you pretending to "collect data" for google - it's a scam. I have been building websites and doing SEO for businesses for over 10 years. Google people love to work with you and want your business online. They are not going to charge you to submit your business information. Only thrid party businesses charge to fill out paperwork. Please pass this information on to everyone you know. I'm tired of these nationwide sales scams. They disrupt work around your office, and rip people off for millions every year.
Same here. Indian guy calling from "Google". Told him I am not interested. Kept on talking, and demanding. I hung up.
Got a call just now. 3:30. Missed it, but there was no message. I am not calling back. My fiance gets them on his phone all the time. He screams at them. They still keep calling! How do we stop them? Anyone know how?
