Got a call from this number to my cell this morning. The female caller identified herself as some renewable energy staff. I told her I am not interested. Wasted my time and minutes.
Can regulators do something? The "national do not call list" is a joke. Calls like this cost people's time/money and bandwidth!
Guess what? Let's assume in the US that everyone gets a spam call like this every day for just a minute, and for simplicity, let's assume there are 300 million people in US and earn an hourly rate of $10. In a year, the cost of this spam calls will be 300*1/60*10*365=18250 million =18.25 billion US$! That's 1.5 times of Facebook's revenue!

called cell phone & pretended to be from Edison. Did not talked to them any further. Edison does not have thisphone #. Nor is the cell # same as on Edison accounts.
Scam call, pitching renewable energy. When I asked to be removed from the list, the rep said, "why would I do that?" and continued with the pitch. Hung up in her face.
